Golden Leader Selection Criteria

We believe in transparency and clarity when defining the values and qualities that distinguish Golden Leaders.

In this context, we are pleased to share the common characteristics of Golden Leaders with the public. We kindly ask all members of the business community who participate in the nomination and voting process to consider the Golden Leader Selection Criteria outlined below when making their evaluations.

Golden Leaders are senior executives who actively serve as CEOs, CFOs, CMOs, or CHROs in joint-stock companies operating in Türkiye, reside within the borders of the Republic of Türkiye, and lead organizations in the country regardless of nationality.

The roles of CFO, CMO, and CHRO are senior executive positions that report directly to the CEO / General Manager or the Chair of the Board. Chairs of the Board may also be selected as Golden Leaders in the CEO category, provided they receive the required number of votes.

Golden Leaders are experienced and accomplished professionals who have dedicated a minimum of 20 years to their careers. They are leaders who create value not only for the organizations they serve but also for the roles they represent, inspiring their teams and earning respect through their vision, integrity, and leadership presence.

Golden Leaders maintain strong, positive, and constructive relationships with all stakeholders. Through their commitment, responsibility, and consistency, they leave a 360-degree impact within their organizations. They cultivate teams built on trust and respect, act as mentors to their colleagues, and demonstrate a leadership approach aligned with the principles of compassionate leadership. Their management style and professional conduct position them as role models within the business world.

Following the completion of the voting process, a shortlist is established comprising the candidates who receive the highest number of votes. The shortlisted Golden Leader candidates' LinkedIn profiles, professional backgrounds, and reference criteria are then comprehensively evaluated in relation to the organizations in which they currently serve.

At the conclusion of the voting process for each category, the 50 CEOs, 50 CFOs, 50 CMOs, and 50 CHROs who receive the highest number of votes and meet the selection criteria are formally designated as the Golden Leaders of the respective year.

The Golden Leader Awards platform remains committed to recognizing, supporting, and amplifying the meaningful, lasting, and inspiring impact that leaders create within the business world.
